Step # 1

You must first open the design of postcard in the Photoshop. If you have design for the reverse side of the postcard, which is the side for the address and stamp, you should also open the file in the Photoshop.

Step # 2

You must click the File menu and choose the option for Print. However, you can just press “Ctrl-P” on the keyboard. Choose the color printer on the drop down menu and click “Print Settings”.

Step # 3

You should then click “Printer paper size” on the drop down menu and choose the option for “4 by 6”. Whenever your postcard is of different size, choose the “Custom” option and then type the dimensions in it. Keep in mind that the max dimensions for the postcard, is 4.25 inches tall by 6 inches wide. It is specified by the Portal Service of the United States. It has to be in between .007 and .016 inches thick.

Step # 4

You must also click the Media Type on the drop down menu and choose the type of media that you want. There could be Glossy photo paper or Matte photo paper for you to choose from and then select the print quality. One of the best examples for this is to choose “High”.

Step # 5

Checking the “Borderless Printing” is also an important matter. For you to do this, you should check the box upon the page and then turn your printer on. Remove the paper in the paper tray and then replace it with the postcard paper. Back upon the computer, click “OK” and then start printing. Whenever it’s done printing, flip it over and then reinsert it to the paper tray. Print the reverse side of the postcard and use the similar settings that you have used from the past.
